LtCol Christie R. Everett

Lieutenant Colonel Christie R. Everett is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in September of 1998, and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon completion of entry-level training at Marine Combat Training and Marine Corps Engineer School, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, she was assigned to 1st Maintenance Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California to serve as an Electrical Equipment Repair Specialist. In June 2001, she was ordered to 9th Engineer Support Battalion at Okinawa, Japan where she was promoted to Sergeant. She served a Platoon Sergeant for Utilities Platoon until departing for college in 2002, and transferring to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. While serving at Electronic Maintenance Company Det-2, 4th Maintenance Battalion she attended the Officer Candidate School Platoon Leaders Course during the summer of 2004 and 2005.

In August of 2005, she received her commission as a Second Lieutenant after graduation from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. Upon completion of The Basic School and Adjutant Course in April of 2006, she was assigned to Marine Wing Support Group 27, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing at Cherry Point, North Carolina. During this tour, she served as Adjutant and Legal Officer, and deployed for 13 months in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 06-08. In May 2008, she transferred to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to serve as the Base Adjutant. In May 2009, First Lieutenant Everett reported to Marine Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. During this tour, she served as Series Commander at 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Company Executive Officer, Company Commander at Special Training Company, Battalion Operations Officer, Headquarters Company Commander at Support Battalion, and Battalion Executive Officer at 1st Recruit Training Battalion. She was selected to attend resident Expeditionary Warfare School for academic year 2012 to 2013, and reported immediately after completion of her B-billet assignment. Upon graduation from EWS, Captain Everett was assigned to Marine Special Operations Support Group, MARSOC where she served as the Adjutant and Legal Officer.

In June 2015, she was transferred to Personnel Administration School, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools to serve as the Operations Officer and Manpower Officer Instructor, and subsequently promoted to the rank of Major. Major Everett attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College in Quantico, Virginia from July 2016 to June 2017 where she earned a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University. Following graduation, she reported to the Pentagon to serve as Operations Officer for the Director, Marine Corps Staff Office at U. S. Headquarters Marine Corps until May 2019. After volunteering for overseas assignment, Major Everett reported to 3d Marine Division at Okinawa, Japan where she served as the Deputy G-1 and Assistant Chief of Staff, G-1. In 2021, she was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and selected to assume command at Headquarters and Support Battalion, School of Infantry-East, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
