SARC MESSAGE
1. Sexual Assault is a crime that is not restricted to any gender, race, or age. It is defined by the Department of Defense as intentional sexual contact characterized by the use of force, threats, intimidation, or abuse of authority or when the victim does not or cannot consent.
2. The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) provides an integrated response capability and system accountability for all awareness, prevention and response training, and care for adult sexual assault victims. SARCs facilitate victim care by coordinating medical treatment, including emergency care, and tracking the services provided to victims of sexual assault from initial report through final disposition and resolution.
