To provide a proof of concept to a Marine to gain the knowledge and skills required to serve as an assault man squad leader for an assault man section of an infantry weapons platoon. This proof of concept emphasizes leadership, technical and tactical proficiency. Upon completion of this proof of concept, the student will be able to advise the commander on the employment of an assault unit in offensive and defensive operations.
