To train Officers, Chief Warrant Officers, and Noncommissioned Officers who are involved in the planning and execution of reconnaissance collection and tactical security tasks at the Troop and Squadron level, as well as Joint Asset planners and operators who support ground operations. Students will focus on applying the fundamentals of reconnaissance and security, as well as established doctrine and TTPs, into the planning of various high intensity and counter insurgency operations in time constrained environments. Students will develop skills in asset synchronization, reconnaissance equipment employment, and tactical techniques to accomplish a myriad of reconnaissance and security scenarios.
This a three-week course where the following topics will be covered:
Week 1: Students will cover topics related Task Organization, Reconnaissance in Force, TDG's, and R&S Doctrinal instruction.
Week 2: Students will cover topics related to Reconnaissance operations, Guard operations, and TDG's
Week 3: Students will cover topics related to Security operations, TDG's and final examination.
Marines will need (3) copies of their orders and any Rank/PME Waivers needed to attend. Rank waivers are need for O1-O2 and a PME Waiver for anyone who has not completed Capt PME (EWS/MCCC)

Atlanta International Airport is approx 90 mins from Fort Benning and is approved in DTS as an authorized airport for travel to Fort Benning.
Columbus airport is 25 mins from Fort Benning. This is a smaller airport and flights are limited in regards to arriving and departing. Ensurer your flight arrives on time per the prescribed airborne check-in time.
Rental Car:
Rental cars are limited at Columbus Airport and only operate during standard business hours. Atlanta International Airport has a greater supply of rental cars and operates 24/7.
