Mission

Advanced Infantry Training Battalion, through Marine Combat Instructors, trains, coaches, and qualifies Marines in advanced infantry skills in order to provide infantry Marines to support force generation and Fleet Marine Force requirements to fight and win in current and future operating environments.

Checking In

All personnel reporting to the School of Infantry for permanent assignment, either PCS or PCA, report directly to S1 Administration Office in Ivy Hall, building G-644, second deck, room 260.

After working hours, Marines will report in person to the Officer of the Day (OOD) located on the first deck of Ivy Hall, utilizing the front entrance.

LtCol McMenamin

Commanding Officer

Advanced Infantry Training Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel McMenamin graduated from the United States Naval Academy in May 2007 with a B.S. in Economics. Upon graduation he attended The Basic School in July 2007 and later the Infantry Officers Course. In April 2008, Lieutenant Colonel McMenamin reported to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines in Camp Lejeune, NC and was assigned as 2nd Platoon Commander, India Company. In this role he deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF), conducting combat operations in Farah and Helmand Province.

SgtMaj Vee

Senior Enlisted Leader

Advanced Infantry Training Battalion

Sergeant Major Vee is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on 8 May 2001 and attended recruit training at First Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon graduation, Private Vee was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class and reported to Marine Combat Training (MCT) aboard Camp Pendleton, California. Following MCT, Private First Class Vee reported to Bulk Fuel Specialist School at Fort Lee, Virginia.
