Marine Combat Training Battalion
Sergeant Major Davalos
Sergeant Major Davalos enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in March 2006 out of Miami, Florida. He reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, for recruit training. Upon graduation in June 2006, he reported to the School of Infantry  - West, Camp Pendleton, California, and graduated as an Infantry Rifleman.

In August 2006, Private Davalos reported to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, Camp Pendleton, California. In February 2007, Lance Corporal Davalos deployed to Al Anbar Province, Iraq, with Charlie Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as a Rifle Platoon Team Leader. Upon return, he was nominated for and graduated from the Infantry Squad Leaders Course. In October 2008, he deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, with Charlie Company, serving as an Infantry Squad Leader. During this deployment, he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal.
In January 2010, Corporal Davalos reported to the Combat Instructor School, School of Infantry  - West. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Alpha Company, Infantry Training Battalion, where he served as a Platoon Sergeant and Armory Chief where he was promoted to Sergeant. In January 2012, he was meritoriously promoted to Staff Sergeant and returned to the Combat Instructor School as an instructor, training future Combat Instructors. During this assignment, he attended and completed the Infantry Unit Leaders Course, earning the 0369 Infantry Unit Leader MOS.

Upon completion of his first Special Duty Assignment, Staff Sergeant Davalos reported to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He served as an Infantry Rifle Platoon Sergeant with Alpha Company and deployed with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Following this deployment, he was assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion and deployed with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force  - Southern Command to Central America. During this deployment, he served as the Security Cooperation Team SNCOIC, advising Honduran and Colombian military forces in infantry tactics, techniques, and procedures. In March 2016, Staff Sergeant Davalos reported to Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, serving as the Combat Development Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant.

In September 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Davalos reported to Recruiting Station San Diego for his second Special Duty Assignment. He served as a Canvassing Recruiter and Station Commander, completing a successful recruiting tour. He was promoted to First Sergeant in May 2021 and reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, where he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for a Combat Logistics Motor Transportation Company.

In March 2023, he deployed as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader for Combat Logistics Company Alpha with the Logistics Combat Element in support of Marine Rotational Force  - Darwin 23.3. Upon return, he was assigned to Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader.

In May 2025, Sergeant Major Davalos assumed his current billet as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Marine Combat Training Battalion, School of Infantry  - East.
Sergeant Major Davalos holds a Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security from American Military University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one silver star and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star.
