Equal Opportunity Mission

The Military Equal Opportunity (MEO) Program seeks to ensure fair and equal treatment for all personnel regardless of race, sex, national origin, or religion. Unlawful discriminatory practices within the Marine Corps, Training Command, and School of Infantry-East (SOI-E) are counterproductive and unacceptable. Discrimination, to include sexual harassment, undermines morale, reduces combat readiness, and prevents maximum utilization and development of Training Command’s most vital asset: it’s people. The policy of training command is to provide equality of treatment and the opportunity of all personnel to achieve their full potential based solely upon merit, fitness, and ability.

Policy
Prohibited discriminatory and harassment practices within the Marine Corps are counter-productive, unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. The Marine Corps will maintain a culture of dignity, care, and concern in which all members of the organization are afforded equal treatment and opportunity to achieve their full potential based upon individual merit, fitness, intellect, and ability. All service members will cultivate an environment free from prohibited activities and conduct (PAC). PAC undermines morale, reduces combat readiness, and prevents maximum utilization and development of the Marine Corps’ most vital asset: It’s People.

How to File a Complaint
You can report a PAC violation through your Chain of Command. The Chain of Command is the primary and preferred channel to prevent and respond to complaints of PAC. You may also submit a complaint through your Equal Opportunity Advisor.
